Hi,
I just bought two different Toaster Ovens only about 6 months ago.
For several years I did not have a Toaster Oven because they starting making
them with switches that was not usable for a blind person.
If you go to Walmart or another big store they are on display and you can
touch them.
Most of them now have three knobs on them.
The top one is for the temperature.
the second is the setting for, toast, broiler and bake.
The knobs do have a small arrow on them.
the third one is the timer however I had it marked with raise dots.
They have two sizes,
4 slice toaster and 6 slice toaster
They are a metal box and they will get hot so you must keep them away from
walls and other things on your counter Only about a inch or two.
They are very good and can save you money by cooking in them instead of your
oven.
Since they are small they heat up a lot faster and the timer has a bell to
let you know when your food is done.
On sale they will cost about $25.00 to $30.00
This was a long message but I wanted to explain the whole thing about the
Toaster Oven.

Hi My name is Julie and I was on this list for a while when it first
started. As my subject line reflects I am looking for a recommendation for
a small toaster oven that is usable for the blind. Has anyone bought one
recently and what did you find that works?
