you can get a pci card with a parallel port for about 20-30 bucks.

  Hi I have an 80 cell Alva Braille display in very goob shape and only been used once or twice. I am selling it because it will not connect to my new computer because this one does not have parallel ports on it at all. I don't believe the USB to parallel adapter will work on it because I tried one and it did not work. The unit has all cables and software included as well as the carying case is also included and that is where everything is storred in it.
