[Electronics-talk] the review of the radio

There has to be a business motive for a for profit company to continue
to produce something. If it doesn't sell, it will go away. That's just
business. Perhaps the manufacturer could contract with one of the
blindness specific retailers to continue to make the radio available.
But then they'll charge $400 for it. You saw what happened to the radio
from Dice.

You're welcome. Now, let's all hope the scenario you suggest does not
come true. IF it does, perhaps it will be high time that we openly ask
why a more serious effort was not and is not being made. My belief is
that honest positive negative feedback is essential; for otherwise,
there would be no incentive to improve what needs to be improved.
Positive feedback is also essential so as to better encourage further
development.

your honesty about this product. As you state in the podcast, this
radio has its advantages but still needs improvement. My biggest
concern is that Insignia, as it did with the voice command clock radio,
will simply discontinue the Narrator because of ppor sales and relegate
it to the clearance pages of Cowboom.com rather than make an effort to
upgrade it. For now, I plan to hold off on purchasing one and wait and
see whether Insignia introduces an improved model. On the other hand, if
the Narrator is quickly discontinued as the voice command clock radio
was, it will likely wind up on Cowboom.com, where it can be snapped up
for a fraction of the original $99 price.
