[Electronics-talk] Microwave

I guess I don't see what the harm is in asking around. I had a vacuum
cleaner, and I ended up vacuuming up it's own cord and chewing up the
end of the cord. I took it into a small appliance repair shop, and got a
new and longer cord put on the vacuum cleaner for a fraction of the cost
of the vacuum cleaner itself. I don't see why the same thing might not
apply to a microwave as well. Sure, if you're quoted a price that's
worth more than the microwave, don't do it, but until you look into it,
you won't know. Oh, and I did this in Austin Texas, where I'm sure the
cost of living isn't as high as it is in New York City, Washington D.C
or San Francisco.
