[Electronics-talk] UBER

I personally thought the message was off topic. I just think we should
leave the moderating to David, and that individuals shouldn't take it
upon themselves to determine what is and isn't on topic. In fact, I
think David has stated this himself. My experience is that individuals
who take on the role of moderator just lead to more unnecessary list
traffic, even if their intentions are good.
I'm also not sure why you sent back to back messages to the list
pointing out the thread was off topic. I think one message would have
been more than sufficient. In fact, I just deleted the first message
like I did the rest of the off topic messages. It wasn't until I saw the
second message that I thought it best to ask that the moderating be left
to the moderator so I wouldn't have to delete even more unnecessary
messages.
Another idea is that if you feel some moderating needs to be done before
David can get to it then maybe you should send your suggestions to
people off list rather than compounding the problem of off topic
messages on the list.
