There is a talking alarm application that you can download from
www.download.com . it is made by Cinimon soft inc. It should be free. If
this is the wrong program they should have something else that will work for
you. I use the talking alarm to let me know that it is getting late and I
should go to bed. You should find one or two free programs that work for
you from them. - Philip

Subject: Re: [Electronics-talk] Talking clock for the computer

because sometimes I want to hear the time at the quarterly hours without
having to think to hit a particular key. When I'm engrossed in
something, sometimes I'm not thinking to check the time, but I want a
reminder on what time it's getting to be.

For the most part, these talking clock applications are not going to be
stressing your processor or memory, so if someone wants such an
application, I don't see the problem with it. We're not asking everyone
to run this application.
