[Electronics-talk] Dream radio: was: Re: Narrator HD Radio

Whenever this discussion comes up, it makes me wonder how blind people
have used radios as long as there have been radios. I have been blind
for almost 40 years, and God knows how many radios I have owned, and
somehow, I've always been able to tune them. Gee! Am I extraordinary, or
what?

Hey nice idea too.

While we're at it, let's add police and fire and air craft and marine
also.

Uh, short wave too.

Oh, almost forgot, analog AM stereo too.

Updates via USb port.

add digital TV stations to this radio. Plus Sirius/XM stations. One
radio that does it all: AM/FM/HD/TV/Sirius/XM. What a concept!

without an accessible radio. Perhaps the NFB should consider finding a
manufacturer of our own and doing one. I'd be willing to bet it would
be a better radio anyhow.

that large -- we shall see.

They just named a new CEO with no electronics retailing experience to
turn the company around, but some Wall St. analysts are skeptical that
the company can avoid bankruptcy. So like the Insignia voice-command
clock radio, remaining inventories of the Narrator radio may soon wind
up on Cowboom.com at bargain basement prices.

message I saw, that they have a few in inventory -- but not a lot.
