That is not true! First you have to get a gps receiver & I have heard of 2
that will work with the Ipod. & you need a gps ap that lets you load maps on
your device. And that is how you can do it without yfi or cell tower.

I just called and asked if you could use gps with an IPod and I was told
that as long as you are at a y fy hot spot but it is not on a network, so if
you want to use it walking then no it will not work. If this is not the
case then someone please let me know.
