[Electronics-talk] lightweight braille notetaker

Sounds like what happened with my braille lite. After a while, it just was
not reliable, because it would dump my stuff and I would have to
reinitialize it and start all over again. Somebody once said it sounded
like I had a bad chip, and I was given a way to test it, but I lost the
email. Two people gave me the directions for the test. One person gave it
a lot less detailed, but I had lost the email that had the extremely
detailed directions for checking to see if I had a bad chip. I think the
braille note is Humanware. Have you called them about the problems with it
to see what they would say? Pam.

Subject: [Electronics-talk] lightweight braille notetaker

I have a Brailenote PK. I chose it because it was, at the time, much the
lightest and smallest notetaker with a braille display. It weighs less than
a pound, while the others I saw weighed more than 2 pounds. However, the PK
has quirks that require me to reset it every week or two to make it get back
to work, and I wouldn't mind getting something more reliable, if I can find
something as small.
Can anyone recommend a braille notetaker, with a 20-character display, that
weighs less than a pound?
Thanks.
Tracy
