[Electronics-talk] Miniguide

I apologize. I never intended to be seen as a list moderator. I just 
tried to point out, in a message which pointed out other suggestions and 
tips to list members, that in my opinion, this issue was off topic for 
the list. My intent being that the list would be more useful and run 
smoother if messages were kept on topic. Also, people stand a better 
chance of getting their questions answered if they post them to the 
right list where people expecting those topics are subscribed.

The moderator should absolutely make the call on what is and is not on 
topic for the list and asking list members to let him do that is not 
hubris. That's the moderator's job and letting list members make that 
call individually is just asking for anarchy and a recipe for a useless 
list.

I added that third point in my message as an afterthought, and I now 
regret it. I hope the list will forgive me and move on as if I'd never 
mentioned it at all. I shouldn't comment on what is and isn't on topic 
for the list, even as an opinion or an afterthought. I'm OK with letting 
David weigh in and make that call or not as he sees fit.
