Glad to hear all of you having success with your thermometers.  I got one 
from Speak to Me Catalog, and the preparation for using the thing was so 
long, that by the time you were ready to use the dumb thing, your ailment 
had either passed, or you did.
That's what I get for spending about $35 for one.

I never did get it to work.  I just resorted to holding a glass of water in 
my hand, and if it started to boil, then I'd go see a doctor.  If not, then 
I was fine.
