Hello. No, I have not tried those apps, but I will check them out. Thank you for the compliment. I recommend going to several Apple stores to find out the information about the phone, because not all reps or familiar with the product although they work there. When I first started checking out the iPhone, I was told by an Apple store rep, that the iPhone was not for blind people because it had a touchscreen. I told him that was ridiculous And that a blind person told me to come in to this store and check out the iPhone. The Apple rep continued to tell me the phone would not work for a blind person. My husband and I got frustrated and drove to a Nother Apple Store in a different state. There we met a rep who knew a little about voice over and the iPhone, and demonstrated what he knew. Not being overly sold or satisfied, We ventured to another Apple Store. There, we met a representative, who knew the iPhone in and out! He blew my mind with what he was showing me. I am still learning the features to this date, as I could not remember everything he had shown me. In my opinion, each upgrade that Apple does, improves the iPhone's accessibility features. I find the iPhone easy to use. It comes with a user manual in the bookmarks section right on the phone; and whenever you have a problem, I've never had any problem going into an Apple Store and get resolution. I have found, however, that most Apple Store Representatives are not familiar with VoiceOver, And that is the company's downfall. But if you are persistent until you get the answers you need, you will find the iPhone's features get easier and easier to use.
Regards,
Anita

Even if I need to know what something is, and there is no one sighted around, I just snap a photo in the VisWiz app, and Within minutes, someone tells me what it is.

For example, if you have the digit eyes app, you have the storage capacity to hold hundreds of records to scan. You can print labels off of the computer, affix them to your items, Scan the label, and record a message for that particular label. Similar to what the Omni bar code readers can do, But at a cheaper price. Then there is Siri; Which is a big help when you don't feel like doing a lot of typing. You just speak into the phone, and it transfers your speech into typing. Sometimes it's accurate; sometimes it's not. I have found with each update, Siri gets better and better. There are a lots of android phones out there, but I don't think there is any that can rival the iPhone's accessibility features. There are so many cool features an iPhone can do, That I recommend you go to an Apple Retailer and get an experienced associate to show you all the cool things and iPhone can do. My husband took me to three different stores before we found someone who worked there with full knowledge of the power of an iPhone. After the demonstration, and playing with it for good hour, he bought me one, and it's been love ever since. LOL.
