I have the My Weigh Phoenix talking scale, which is available from
Amazon.com for $45.93. It runs on one easily replaceable 9 volt battery and
is very accurate. You simply tap the scale with your foot, wait until you
hear the scale say"Hello,I'm ready", and then step onto the contoured
platform. Your weight is then announced to the nearest tenth of a pound in
a clear female voice. When you step off the scale , it says "Goodbye", and
shuts itself off.
