Hi,
You can go to eBay and purchase a Samsung Haven phone and get it set up with Verizon.
Thanks

Subject: [Electronics-talk] accessible phone for verizon

Hi all,

I’d like a simple phone. I have one, but may wish to change or have to change; think this phone needs a new battery or something. All the phone can do is call out the numbers. It does not talk otherwise.

If I had a talking phone, I could take advantage of the text message feature to read it independently as well as he contacts list and other items.
So which phones if any will work? I know verizon had some lg phones that were partially accessible but I heard those went out of stock and are not made; I know the nv 3 isn’t made either.

There are not too many simple phones anymore, and even less talking phones. I would not use a smart phone’s features so don’t want to go that route and besides its very easy to press the wrong buttons on a flat screen. It happened to a blind friend today when she was going to let me borrow her phone and got in some face time menu instead.

Thanks.

Ashley
