[Electronics-talk] accessible phone for verizon

I don't think buying Mobile Speak or Mobile Accessibility will be an
option, unless you're getting a Windows Phone 8 smart phone. In this
case, you'll get half a dozen accessible apps in the Mobile
Accessibility suite, but you won't have access to the whole phone, the
OS itself and any other 3rd party apps. It is free though. Code
Factory's other products were for Windows Mobile or Symbian, and you
won't see any of those phones at your Verizon store any more. There's
also an Android product, but that's been superseded by newer versions of
Talk Back, the screen reader that now comes with Android.

The best bet is to use Google to see what's available, ask about phones
in general and specific phones on different lists and ask the
representatives at your Verizon store. It can't hurt to ask, and I've
usually found them at least somewhat helpful.
