[Electronics-talk] question about security systems

Hi all,

 

I think I may have stumped the sales guy who called to inform me that the
contract was up for my security system and that I could upgrade to one that
works in conjunction with my cell phone.

There is an app called alarm.com that works with  smart phones. I asked if
it was compatible with VoiceOver and he said he would call me back to let me
know. I was wondering if anyone is controlling their security system, lights
thermostats and so forth with the iPhone?

I have a programmable thrermostat that speaks the functions, but I would
like to have a way to control turning on and off lights when I'm not home.

 

Any suggestions?
