[Electronics-talk] question about security systems

I just contacted a local dealer and found out that the alarm.com module 
costs $500 to install and a monthly charge for messages and other items.

Is this what you installed?  Are you using it to replace a monitoring 
service?  Finally did you have any lighting or thermostat installed?
