Anyone had experience with the new Seeing-Eye GPs yet? Is it better than
Blind Square?

Jim is absolutely right. I would also add on the barcode stuff that it can
be difficult for some to find bar codes with a camera. Meanwhile the Summit
and Quest have laser guiding technology to help fin dthe bar code for you.
This means that you only have to run the scanner over a side and it will
suually find it without too much trouble.
Hoping to help

Hi Darla,

It depends on what you wish to accomplish! A stand alone GPS is fine but it
is only as good as the provided maps. In the case of the Trekker Breeze ,
one must put in the one or three maps one needs immediately. One might
wait as much as 5 minutes before the Breeze is ready to use. This varies.
Blind Square on the IPhone is ready to go in seconds! This app relies on
the phone's current location. No maps need to be loaded. Blind Square for
the IPhone works much like the Breeze with much more up to date POI
information available. Tap Tap See is the best app I have used for
identifying canned goods, packages and boxes. The stand alone ID Mate
Summit or Quest does this as well but one has more information about these
cans, packages and boxes provided the detailed information is in their
database. If detail is what you want, the ID mate is what you want. I
think both options work well together!

Jim
