George,
As you see your question has spun off into accessible features of cable
boxes in general.

Despite his complaining, Gerald is right I'm afraid in regard to tvs with
sap.
Unfortunately, I don't think such a tv exists. As has been said, most sap
functions are activated via menus.

Most cable companies will not be too much help for the reason Gerald points
out.
But I'd suggest calling them anyway. Ask if any of their remotes have
buttons with which you can press the sap function with.
Even if it’s a menu, if it’s a consistent one, you may be able to memorize
how many times you go down and hit okay to get the sap audio description.
I'd really like audio description, but I have no clue how to access it and
which shows are described and if it requires menus.

I should call our service, verizon fios, and see but I suspect they won't
know much. may be worth asking though to see what response I get.

Go visit some major electronics stores such as radio shack and Best buy.
You might call some tv companies too and ask this.

Good luck.
Ashley

Describedprogramming.

I am looking for a new TV. It must have a very easily accessible SAP
(second audio program) feature for being able to easily access audio
described programming.

Does such a thing exist? If so, what is it, and where can I buy it?

Thanks for any help you can provide!

-- George
