Yes, the price has gone up a dollar or two, but it is still the best deal.

Dear Barb,

I'd like to say I got my cup underneath, but I didn't. <giggle>, and
I learned very quickly it doesn't know that, but thankfully, the drip tray
was deep enough to catch most of it.
I need to start ordering my K-cups from Costco; it seems they have
the best price around.

We bought a Keurig a few months ago and I absolutely love it. We use the
K-Cups but also the basket where you can use your own coffee. It works very
well and doesn't require a lot of maintenance. Filling the reservoir with
water isn't that difficult, either. I have a sports bottle that I fill and
pour the water in. The only mistake I made with the Keurig was that I
forgot to put the cup underneath. I realized it rather quickly so shut off
the brewer, cleaned up my mess and started over.

Good luck.

  Hi Serena,

I hate coffeemakers that have you pour through the slots; never
could do it without making a bit of a mess. Wish I had thought of the
  funnel then.
I have a Keurig now; when it dies, I am considering a coffee maker
that grinds the beans before brewing.
Wow; lots of coffee drinkers, eh?

Mine is a Hamilton Beach that I recently got for Christmas. It has a pot
on
one side and a single serve component on the other. The filter baskets
come
out easily and the button to start the brewing process is a round button
that's easy to find. I'm sure there are other features to it that I
haven't
figured out yet but so far it meets my needs.
Also, Tracy's right, it does take a bit of prep work to make coffee and a
bit to clean up. With my old coffee maker I used to use a funnel to pour
the water in to it because I kept pouring water on to to the counter. If
the issue is that you haven't done it a lot all I can say to do is
practice
and keep practicing. I'm totally blind also and it took me years before I
could make a decent cup of coffee. My dad is sighted and has been making
coffee for years and still makes a huge mess.
If there's a touch screen involved maybe there's a way to mark it with
puffy
paint or Braille markings. Good luck and happy coffee drinking. :)
