[Electronics-talk] Net Flix

Hello listers,

I have a streaming only Netflix subscription which costs around $8 per
month.
However, I think I will cancel it soon because I just don't use it much
because I have to spend more time figuring out how to play movies or other
tv shows on my I devices as well as my laptop running jaws 15 and Windows 8.
If you use Netflix whth a PC, it isn't too difficult to search for and start
watching shows. However, you need to install the Silverlite player from
Microsoft first. If I want to play something on my iPhone or iPad I first
start the movie on the pc, stop playback and go to the app on my I device.
I will get a prompt asking if I want to continue watching the movie I've
chosen.
I think Amazon's instant video service is far more accessible if you are
interested in movies and tv shows.

Sorry, to be more precise, NetFlix isn't supported on Linux. I can move
around and select something to watch, but nothing will play because I'm
not using Windows or a Mac. I'd guess that you could find and start
watching something with JAWS, but I'm not sure if the controls such as
fast forward, rewind and so on would be accessible while you're watching
a movie.
