I also know that direct tv contracts threw alpine access, an at home call

virtually/telecommute?

Some technical companies allow employees to work from home. Canonical, for
example, is a company which contributes code to Ubuntu--a Linux
distribution--and sells products and services around Ubuntu, has almost no
offices and almost every employee works remotely from home. Some
organizations in IBM also allow or even encourage employees to work from
home. Marissa Mayer made news when she changed the policy at Yahoo
eliminating the option for employees to work from home. If you have or want
a software engineering degree or background then there will be some work
from home options for you.
