Jenny,
I just got a Braille Edge also from Hins. It is a Braille display for my
computer, but also has basic note taking capability. It is smaller and
lighter than any note takers as it is just a Braille display with a perkins
style keyboard. This sounds like more of what you might want as it is much
similar and lighter.

I had a Braille note ages ago.
I wish they just made a note taker only though. Not a really inflated
laptop. Which is what note takers have become.
I don't want a Braille and Speak as I need a reliable braille display
involved.
But some of us just want something to write things down, that talks, and has
a braille display.

technology is trending toward lighter and smaller items, and blindness
products are trying to follow that trend too.
