Here are my responses to your request for recommended iPhone apps for the 4
tasks you listed, as well as the names of some of my favorite apps..

1) OCR scanning/reading. - I'm waiting to see what the KNFB Reader has to
offer.
2) Bar code readers (e.g., scan-a-can type of thing). - I've been happy
with Digit-Eyes
3) Color identifiers. - Have not found one that works reliably.
4) Money identifiers. - I have both iNote and LookTell. I like LookTell
the best.

My most used apps include:
-BARD
-BookShare Read To Go
-iHeart Radio
Tuned In Radio
-iFarkle, a brainless dice game.

HTH,
Annette

Subject: [Electronics-talk] Recommendations for Accessible Apps

Hi All,
I was curious if anyone here has good recommendations for the following
apps that are really accessible:

1) OCR scanning/reading.
2) Bar code readers (e.g., scan-a-can type of thing).
3) Color identifiers.
4) Money identifiers.

  Thanks in advance!
Have a wonderful weekend everyone!
