[Electronics-talk] Blaze EZ vs. K-NFB Reader

Hi,
Yes, it only runs on the iOS system. I read that The reason for that is that
there are a lot of different types of android phones compared to versions of
iOs devices, so it was more practical and less expensive to make the KNFB
reader app compatible with iOs devices.
It was also stated that more blind people are using iOs devices than android
devices, currently.
Thanks
Lauren

Subject: [Electronics-talk] Blaze EZ vs. K-NFB Reader

HI All,
Just curious, I was listening to some of the recordings from iBlink Radio
from the NFB convention and had a question that I was curious if anyone
could confirm or deny.

During the presentation for the Blaze and Braille Sense, the presenter
mentioned that a first shipment went out and that they then promptly ran out
and will be doing a second wave. There are two reasons this comment is
really seeming odd to me:

1) Their website still says shipping soon

2) I ordered back in May when the announcement was still quite new.

Thus, does anyone know if they have actually begun shipping at all and if
not, why this comment may have been made. I have had a lot of trouble
getting in touch with Hims and the most they have told me in response is it
will be coming around Aug 15th (almost two months after the original
estimated ship date).

I am actually considering dropping my order and just trying out the K-NFB
reader. Does anyone know if it is going to work on the iPod Touch. i know it
is supposed to work on 5S phones and they said that 4S phones will work if
you are running IOS 7.
Happy weekend all!
