[Electronics-talk] needing accessible hosting and website development and maintenance

Hi,

I know I posed this question a while back but I seem to have lost some of
the messages I got back. Are there any totally blind people out there using
an accessible web host and web design? If none on this group, could someone
ask on the tech groups? I can't be the only blind person who needs this.

My current web person is always frazzled and not always businesslike with
me. When I call the company for help, they do as little as possible. The
latest is that I needed help deleting some email addresses and adding a new
one to Outlook 2010. They passed it off by saying "that's a Microsoft
program; we can't help with that" yet they sent me the basic steps for how
to do it. So they knew how, they just didn't want to help. My web person
also charges too much for touchups to my existing websites.

I know there are such people out there who would be more cooperative and
more knowledgeable about accessibility for blind people because I got some
suggestions when I asked before. I have no idea why I cannot find those
messages now. So if someone can help me once more, I'd appreciate it.

For instance, who runs the NFB hosting and does the website? Who did the
Matilda Ziegler magazine online? Who does the Library for the blind sites
and hosting? I mean, there must be someone out there who is already doing
this kind of thing.

Thanks. Sorry to be long-winded; I've lost patience with my current company.

Thanks

Lauren
