While it is true that you can use a phone as a mobile hot spot, you need to investigate carefully the charges.
Sometimes mobile phone carriers block the use of a phone as a hot spot requiring that you pay them extra. Also,
you are pulling data through your phone, so you could be charged for additional data usage, and this could be
inconvenient or expensive depending upon your plan. I used the word "inconvenient," because you could find you
have to avoid listening to something until next month to stay within your data limit. Finally, if you don't have
a real good cellphone signal where you normally do a lot of your work, your connection could be slow. There are
devices that are separate from your phone that can give you access to the internet through the phone network, and
sometimes you can get such a device as part of your phone plan at a discount. The bottom line is that you really
need to check out the cost and the network speed where you will be using it the most to be certain what is right
for you. .
