I may try to do one, I called a Uber last night, and my phone completely died as the driver was getting close, and he never found me.  Don't know why that was, I was standing in front of the address, but ...

My brother is a Uber driver in the San Francisco area, and he says that if the rider has a photo, it makes it much easier to spot him or her especially in a crowded area.

When I have used it the driver has generally called me if he doesn't see me immediately, then I tell him to look for the guy with the cane, even waved it up in the air once, in a crowded area.

How has your experience been with uber? I've downloaded the app but haven't used the service yet as not sure how it works in to know when the vehicle arrives. Do they send a text message? Thanks I know this is a little off topic.

Say what? Why does Uber need a picture? I've used it for several months and never encountered a situation in which a pic was needed.
