You should be able to find a Panasonic cordless phone with talking caller id
for a resonable price depending on how many handsets you require. They come
with anywhere from 1 to 6 handsets. Most of the Panasonic models have the
talking caller id.

Subject: [Electronics-talk] phone issue

Good afternoon all:

My name is Rob Kaiser & I am from Victorville, CA. I am new to this list & I
have a duzy of a problem.

Please bare with my long message:

About 2 to 3 months ago, I signed up with the Calfornia Phone Program. Since
then, I have gone through 3 phones & they will not give me a 4th 1 for
obvious reasons. Each of the phones they have given me has lasted about 2 to
3 weeks before just giving out. The phone is a cordless phone with talking
caller ID. Durring this time period, I found out that the phones they give
the blind are made by a company that specialized in making phones for the
hard-of-hearing.

My question is this:
does any one out there know where I can get a non expensive cordless phone
with talking caller ID? Also, if anyone has a phone that they are not using
& would be willing to sell it to me.

Please reply either to the list, or reply dirrectly to me either by the
phone number or email below.

Thaqnks in advance.
