I understand about most people don't have landlines. They just have cell
phones. I am 1 of the few people who doesn't have a cel phone, because I
can't afford 1 so I have Charter as my TV, internet & phone provider. I know
all about the panasonic cordless phones as I had 1 a few years agao before
it wound up in a storage unit that I no longer have.

Again, thanks for the info.

I received a great Panasonic phone from them that I used for 12 years and
bought one battery myself, cause it looked like the phones were getting
crappier. I turned off the land line as most Americans and only have a cell
phone

Subject: [Electronics-talk] phone issue

Good afternoon all:

My name is Rob Kaiser & I am from Victorville, CA. I am new to this list & I
have a duzy of a problem.

Please bare with my long message:

About 2 to 3 months ago, I signed up with the Calfornia Phone Program. Since
then, I have gone through 3 phones & they will not give me a 4th 1 for
obvious reasons. Each of the phones they have given me has lasted about 2 to
3 weeks before just giving out. The phone is a cordless phone with talking
caller ID. Durring this time period, I found out that the phones they give
the blind are made by a company that specialized in making phones for the
hard-of-hearing.

My question is this:
does any one out there know where I can get a non expensive cordless phone
with talking caller ID? Also, if anyone has a phone that they are not using
& would be willing to sell it to me.

Please reply either to the list, or reply dirrectly to me either by the
phone number or email below.

Thaqnks in advance.
