Hi,
Does anyone about the new ultrasonic cane? Just wondering how well it
works.
Thanks, Beverly

I found the free rigid fiberglass cane that I got from the NFB produced too
much noise along the body of the cane. I guess you can say, it didn't
absorb shock as much as other canes I've had/have. When I say, shock, I'm
referring to when I tapped it for echolocation and when I crossed streets.
Just too much rattling coming from the cane. And here in Phoenix, our
streets are so rough, they causes cars to become rattler in a short time.
So I have to listen for car rattles and the cane's rattle was a distraction.
So Fred. Does the Iowa canes use only that tip, then?
I prefer the mushroom or the pencil tip. Don't like roller balls. Can't
read differing textures that good with them.
