In this case, Apple would be the one to consult. In my case, because it was an in-app purchase, I had to go to the developer.

I was going to ask if you called Apple about this situation.  I'd try that.
Or maybe you can get a new email address, username, and password to try to fool the system.
But for some reason, I don't think that would work.  I'm sure there are all kinds of cookies in your device.  Keep us abreast.
