Besides, any blind pedestrian who walks around with an IPhone or other 
expensive smart phone fully exposed is just asking for trouble.  IPhone 
theft is one of the fastest growing crimes in the country, especially in 
large cities like New York.  A few pedestrians have even been killed because 
they refused to surrender their IPhones to a mugger.
