[Electronics-talk] getting your drinks at fastfood places

Hello Brett,
I totally agree with you. I am very annoyed about this. It is so
thoughtless on the parts of the manufacturers and purchasers of this
equipment. I am pasting in the official complaint form from the ADA.GOV web
page. I think everyone who cares about this ought to submit 1 of these
complaints. Sooner or later, after DOJ gets these from all over the country
they will take action against either the fast-food places or the
manufacturers or both.
As you can see, the form is very simple. There is a text field for a 4000
word statement of the problem. It can be shorter, of course. I think it is
best to go to the website to complete the form, but this copy, below, will
show you how simple it really is.
Warmest Regards,
Fred

Hey guys. I don't know how many of you have seen these new touch-screen
drink machines.
These are the machines that are completely flat screen, and have pages and
pages of drinks and/or flavors to make your own combinations.
They are very cool but I haven not been able to find a way for blind peple
to access them independently. I am pretty pissed that I can't get up and get
my own drink anymore without having a sighted person or an employee waste
time by helping me scroll through pages of flavors just to get a drink!
Anyone have any ideas about this or anything we could do to get these
machines accessible?
I hope this isn't off topic
bb
