Forgive me for being old-school, but I try to be as independent as much as 
possible.
I am quite aware of needing the assistance of a sighted person.  But my 
point is, at least do the best to ensure a blind person can have the 
opportunity to be independent.
So I'm going to attempt to shut the door on this topic.  Thanks to the 
moderator for allowing me to use this to air some concerns and opinions.
