Jim,
If you want amazon to provide you with a website that is free of
advertising, promotions, and special offers; then I think you're out of
luck. At that point, you're not talking about accessibility, you're talking
about a user experience that Amazon's business model doesn't let them offer
anybody.
In this case, accessible means there's sufficient mark up and exposed
controls to allow a screen reader user to navigate the site, including the
extras that Amazon wants us all to see.
I actually think that the accessible site does this rather well. I agree
though, it is not free from advertising, promotions, and special offers.

site! There needs to be a quick shop option where one logs in, does a
search for something, get details or read reviews if needed, select buying
option and place order and get the heck out of there (log off). Anything
else is unnecessary clutter for me! I'm always getting tangled up with
Amazon Mom! This will never apply to me yet this happens on the so called
accessible site! I can fiddle around for one or two hours and quit because
I'm too tired to purchase anything! I may try Ebay!

accessability. I tried a few items of there's but no luck. I have since
ditched them and stuck with ITunes instead. I already downloaded my music I
got from them and they are now in my ITunes Match, just right where they
belong. I don't like Amazon.com any more because they turned their backs and
betraied us blind screen reader users. Yuck!!! We either need to boycot them
as I have done or raise our canes and never let Amazon.com hear the end of
our complaint Saints.

amazon about this. We should be able to download the music we have
purchased. Thoughts?

download them with a screen reader is aggravating. The amazon music app is
not accessible with voiceover on my mac, and the old amazon mp3 downloader
is broken. Is there anything els I can try? Thanks.
