[Electronics-talk] amazon echo

It is quite accessible, according to a podcast done by Chris Grabowski of Mystic Access (which I believe covers setup and use).

One thing I disagree with Chris on however, when I read the fine print, it seems to say that after the first year, a membership in Amazon Prime is required (what they call "the service"). Chris said in his podcast no memberships or fees are required. Also, any ordering from Amazon can only be done if you have a Prime membership (which maybe is what the fine print is refering to).

I haven't bought mine yet, but intend to (I do appreciate the person who mentioned the Alexa app however, but using an Iphone isn't the same as having the Echo usable by you when you're anywhere near. It even has an optional remote mike so you can speak to it from quite a distance away or in a noisey environment).

Hi,

Does anyone know if the amazon echo is accessible or not? If so, is there a
tutorial on it? A friend asked me and I really do not know.

Thanks

Lauren
