[Electronics-talk] Tassimo brewers; was Keurig 2.0 accessibility

No, it does not use K-cups, it uses Tassimo's own equivalent with barcodes. And no, it costs around $75, and they throw in a bunch of free coffee.

Yes, it is a one button system. The only variations in brewers I've noted was how big they were (which translated into how much water they held in their tank), and the color. It could be they had a high end one which took a direct plumbing connection (I've seen this in many brands); that's usually expensive, but nothing I've ever paid any attention to.

They do sell a cleaning solution you put in the tank every so often (I'd guess every six months) to remove hard water build up. There are no filters or other components I know of.

When you purchase a pack of late coffee for instance, you get 8 milk pods and 8 coffee pods. To make your late you put in the milk pod first, and it heats it and froths it and puts it into the cup, and then you insert your coffee pod, and it adds the cup of coffee to it.
Same idea if you're make a chai late tea, or hot chocolate (or I forgot how much I liked their moca java, which uses a pod of hot chocolate and then an espresso pod to make one really great drink).

Does it use k-cups as well Chip? From what I saw online it didn't look
like it and looked like it cost around 999$s, but since you have one
thoughyt I'd ask you. You can also just get one for about 30$s I think
from Mr coffee we saw it at target or walmart, you just added water an
hit brew and it takes off. I think it came with travel mugs too, but
you could just any mug I am sure and if you still have or just like
k-cups I think you can use them in there.

In Jesus' name there is healing for the hopeless,
For all our days, we rest in Jesus' name. Kutless
