[Electronics-talk] Audible Battery Tester

Like audible battery testers, talking multimeters are no longer available,
either. So there is really no wayin for a blind consumer to check the
strength of general purpose batteries without sighted help. This is one
function an IPhone will never be able to perform.

Hi,
How much testing do you do?
The price is always higher than off the shelf products but $50 was well
worth the price of a talking multi meter I bought a number of years ago at
the nfb store tables at a convention.

Nope, I checked the NFB store, also, and they do not sell an audible battery
tester. Apparently, none of these blind-products merchants is willing to
produce their own battery tester. They only sell whatever is currently
available on the market to the general public, at marked-up prices, of
course, and since Radio Shack filed for bankruptcy earlier this year and
stopped producing their own audible battery testers which was sold by ILA
and Maxi-Aids, there is apparently nobody else who still makes them.

How About the NFB Independence Market? Do they have one?
