[Electronics-talk] Google Crome

Hi,
I use Windows 7, IE 11 and have no problems with the AARP website. I've
tried Google Chrome several times in the past two years and have not liked
it.

Hi,
For what it's worth, I use IE11 most of the time, but the website for AARP
says you have to use Google chrome. It's true. I've tried to use IE11 on
their website, but it doesn't work. When I've ventured into Google Chrome,
it works. I have Windows 7 and JAWS 16 Home Edition on my computer. I
prefer IE11. I haven't done much with Google Chrome, just to look at the
AARP website.

Hi Jim,
I also do experience bugs with
I E. I also have had difficulties with
Firefox. Either browser pretty much does what
I need. Since I have never
taken a cruise,
I doubt that will motivate me to switch to Chrome. Â
My
wife definitely wants to take a cruise,
though, so, you never know.
I would be surprised if
MicroSoft will let other browsers get too far ahead.
That is not to say that they won't, but the
competition seems pretty
intense. All of
this is interesting and has a certain entertainment value
to me, so, if I feel like taking on another
challenge I may install Chrome
and look for
a cruise for my wife and me. (smile)
Thanks
for the helpful reply.
Warmest Regards,
Fred

Google Crome
Good question
Fred. I keep having IE crashes, and some web pages,
(e.g.)
the Carnival cruise lines pages, just
won't work with IE. If you call their
support lines, they tell you to use Google
Crome, and apparently all your
problems will
go away. I'd thought that the web development
languages such
as HTML, ASP, and the like
were standards, but apparently more and more web
developers are only testing with, and
supporting, Crome.
Supposedly Crome is faster too, but so far
I'm not as impressed as I'm
supposed
to be.

Hello Jim,
I do not use Chrome. I am curious what
motivated you to try it? I use I E
and am
mostly satisfied. I am always looking for ways to improve
my
browsing experience. I am not very
willing to go through a bug ridden
learning
experience, but would try Chrome if it works well and has
advantages over I E.
Thanks for your thoughts.
Warmest Regards,
Fred
