[Electronics-talk] new ac adapter for aph handicassette machine

Hi,
I called APH and they suggested Radio Shack; the same as several people have
suggested. Ours closed and there isn't one near me anymore. I could buy one
from amazon if I knew what to get.

Why not call APH and ask?

You could also get an electronics guru to look at the adaptor to see if the
tip is negative or positive and what its current rating is. I suspect it's
either 6-volts or 7.5-volts.

No, that is the problem. Our Radio Shack closed down. We don't have a Fries.
The only slight possibility is Best Buy and they don't seem to have anything
lately except for the items they sell. In other words, they might have an ac
adapter for a stereo or something they sell, but not for machines like mine
that they don't sell.

Have you tried Radio Shack?  That is, if there is still one in your locale. 
Or maybe Frys Electronics?  Any electronics parts store should have
something comparable to what you had.  Just be sure to take your device with

you when you go to the store of your choice. hth
