You're lucky it has screws to remove it. Some belt clips are just part of
the case, whether we like it or not. Furthermore, when you drop it, it's
usually because you were trying to use the belt clip instead of some other
means of carrying it. Pam.

Removing the belt clip is an option for sure.
I was surprised to see it affixed to the unit. Surely the company knows
some people don't like belt clips. And most of the time, when you drop a
device with a belt clip, that's usually what gets broken.
