Honestly, I was a little stunned by the price when I heard it.  I knew it 
would be a few more pennies, somewhere in the $200 neighborhood.
I should have asked about the pins that are used to produce the braille. 
Wonder if they are cheap plastic or what I call, metalastic.  That stuff 
that feels like metal but is nothing but plastic.  Like toys trucks and cars 
are made of these days.
But I think, if they are made of "metalastic," that would last longer than 
regular cheap plastic.
I wish APH would bring back the old braille labelers which were made of 
metal.  I don't know if you've seen them.  They were heavy-duty, the case 
was made of metal--real metal--and so were the pins.  The calibration was 
better too.
I find with these cheap plastic labelers you get from Maxiaid and Blind Mice 
Mega Mall, have more trouble with the label advance and spaces between some 
of the dots.
I have one that places dots to close to each other.  Every time I braille 
dot 1 after the number sign, it almost looks like a capped p.  The numbers 
130 and 132 are hard to differentiate on first glance.  and no matter how 
hard you squeeze the handle, the pins won't make the dot sharp enough, or 
not at all.
So I just might order one just to see what it looks like.  And if it turns 
out to be okay, then I'll go and do some car washes to raise the funds for 
it.  No.  I'll pass the wish onto the fat guy.  Maybe he'll put it in my 
Christmas sock.  I don't wear stockings anymore.  I gave that up after they 
took twinkies off store shelves.  [smiles]
