Yes, I remember the first ones, then ones they made a little later.  When I 
read the book The Rise and Fall of the House of Barney, it made me think of 
the commercials for Barney's Boys Town, and also the Robert Hall

As long as we're on the subject of retro commercials, does anyone remember
the classic radio jingles for Robert Hall, a nationwide chain of family
clothing stores that went bankrupt in 1977?  Their most famous jingle was,
"When the values go up, up, up.  And the prices go down, down, down.  Robert
Hall will show you the reason they give you.  High qualitee.  Economee."
One reason they went belly-up is that they were notorious for selling
clothing that was cheaply made and out of style.  Rumor has it that they
fitted the Beatles with their trademark Nehru suits when they arrived in the
US in 1964.  I don't know whether this is true or not, but I can attest that
they still had Nehru suits on the racks ten years later in garish colors
that nobody wanted to buy.
