[Electronics-Talk] Electronics-Talk Digest, Vol 128, Issue 11

Laury, it is the Samsung un32j5500afxza. We purchased the tv from best buy
a little over a week ago, we got the 32 inch. At that time the tv was on
sale for $219. The regular price for the tv is $280. One of the mikes on
here on the list told all of us about the tv almost 2 weeks ago and we were
so excited about hearing about it that about 3 or 4 days later we purchased
the tv. We're just watching the over the air tv channels with it. We're
going to do a demonstration of the tv sometime soon to show a number of
things we've learned and what it's like. It talks everything and the voice
is pleasant sounding. Here's some of what Mike told us on the list and a
question he answered me, the first day we got it and we were setting it up:

Subject: [Electronics-Talk] I am liking my Samsung tv with voice guide!
It is going well with my Samsung 32 inch tv with voice guide! I am using an
over the air antenna. For the first time I can scan stations in, remove
stations from the line up I do not want & a thousdan other settings without
any sighted help!
You only have to know were 6 buttons are on the remote & then any totally
blind person can set this tv up right out of ; the box.

Hello Arlen
Here goes I will try to give you those buttons.
When you have the remote pointed at the tv. The top left button is power. It
has
2 little dots on the left side of it. To turn voice guide on. 4 rows from
bottom
center button is cc. ccthis is were voice guide is. Next enter is 7 rowes
from bottom.
Enter button has 2 dots on it. The arrow keys surround the enter button.
After you get the tv set up go back into cc button. Arrow down to learn
remote! If
you want to learn remote..
Mike
