I do not know about Talking Checkbook, but Money Talks from the American
Printing House for the Blind does include the ability to print checks. I
have used it for this purpose for a long time. It will print on regular
sized checks if your printer will support it. Having said all that, one has
to have a printer that will handle checks, and the "registration" needs to
be extremely consistent. In this case, "registration" refers to the ability
of a printer to start at exactly the same place each time you start a page.
Variation of a sixth of an inch will cause what you print to be misaligned
by an entire line. Depending upon one's printer, getting the calibration
correct for the first time can be quite time consuming as well, and you will
either need someone with vision to check the calibration or you will need to
use an Optacon. Larger checks offer you a bit more room for slight
alignment errors and are handled by more printers.
Best regards,
Steve Jacobson

Yes indeed, if you are willing to excuse it. *smile*
I said that the software from APH is called Talking Checkbook. I will
write back with the company that I purchase checks from. Sorry about
the blank email.
