Now that is really stupid that they didn't make it on clear plastic! Pam.

My GE Profile range is now over 10 years old. At the time when I bought it,
there was not an overlay available for it. At the same time we also bought
a GE Profile dishwasher and above range microwave. There was not an overlay
available for the dishwasher, but they said there was one available for the
microwave. When it arrived, it did not match the panel of my microwave. In
addition, it was not a clear overlay, so sighted household members would not
have been able to read the button labels.

I ended up making my own labels with the 3M dymo tape, and a friend helped
me put them on. All labels are still firmly in place. I always make sure
that I clean the surface with rubbing alcohol or window cleaner before
sticking the labels on.

HTH,
Annette

I know this was a while ago, but last time we had checked, GE only had
overlays for microwave ovens. Maybe things have changed? Pam.

GE also makes some models where you can get a Braille overlay. I think it is
the Artisan series. Most stoves today may have knobs for burners, but have
flat panel for control of oven. I was able to make Braille labels, and it
works fine. If you don't have anyone that can help you, you could also
check with your electric utility. Mine, Xcel Energy has volunteers who will
help customers label their appliances.
