[Electronics-Talk] My Review of the ProxTalkerElectronicsBrailleLabeler [A Question and Interesting]

I know with the manual labelers, the blade for cutting the tape used to get
dirty from tape glue. George used to take it out and clean it off. Pam.

I have that earlier model, and was one of about 100 people who ever had one.
It does take the wide tape, but it's a moot point for anyone else, since it
was an earlier version. I am ready to get the new model since this model has
worn out on me. As for the motor differences, I expect they thought they
might be able to get it to run at two different speeds. How is the automatic
cutter on the labeler? When I tested it out, it had some trouble scoring the
tape. They said they were perfecting this, and this was at CSUN 2014. I
think the intent was to try to get an audio review of your label, so they
put the audio jack in there. I am wondering how you would upgrade the unit
if you need an adapter for the USB port?

Eh, Matthew, did you know there was an earlier model of this labeler
produced by the same company?
That's what the sales rep told me. Did you ever see that earlier model?

I found your statement about them thinking the adaptor would make the motor
run faster interesting. The only time I've seen ac adaptors make a unit run
faster is if the batteries were dying. I chuckled when I read that.
