[Electronics-Talk] Cable box Accessibility

hi all,
I just realized that the deadline for making Cable boxes accessible is fast approaching, and I have not heard anything from other companies about their plans. It looks like Comcast is the only company with a talking TV interface. Has anyone heard from any of the other cable companies about their plans to make their boxes accessible? I’m surprised that we didn’t hear anything at Convention. On another note, I read on another list that Comcast improved Voice Guidance so that it will now read notifications, such as incoming phone calls and voicemails. Has anyone noticed this? It doesn’t seem to be working on my system. I’m really impressed with what Comcast has done, but it’s time for other companies to catch on.
