You can do something like that with Verizon, too. My contract runs out in August.

  AT&T does not do contracts, but they will let you make monthly payments
  for the phone. I think they also have a kind of lease plan where you can
  upgrade every year or two.

  Evelyn, along with t-mobile no longer doing contracts, thanks for
  informing us that verizon no longer does contracts. I wonder if a t and
  t or sprint have gotten away from contracts yet as well. It's really
  good to know about verizon. As far as the lg 450 when I searched for it
  on the internet, it mentioned t-mobile and the family mobile. If it's on
  any other networks if anyone knows, that would be interesting to find
  out. I don't know if the lg
  450  was unlocked if it would work on verizon. It's just  a matter of
  asking at the store or calling the customer service.I would also be
  interested to know which other accessible feature phones are on verizon
  besides the gusto III.
